Next Up Oregon

2024 Highlights
In 2024, the Alliance Network engaged over 12 million young people through comprehensive voter education, mobilization, and persuasion efforts, including 5.3 million c3 calls aimed at turning out young voters. Across the country, we registered 88,000 new voters and launched the New Deal for Organizing in partnership with State Voices and Midwest Academy, training young leaders in organizing fundamentals. Through our grantmaking efforts, we directed $15 million in c3 funding directly to youth-led organizations, empowering them to resource critical initiatives.
Our Network also devoted their energy to critical issue campaigns, demonstrating the powerful role education and information play in inspiring young people to drive change. Specifically, Poder in Action, North Carolina Asian Americans Together, and Asian Community Development Council worked to expand civic access by educating communities about noncitizen voting rights at the city level. Through storytelling, events, and policy advocacy, they challenged exclusion and uplifted the voices of those most impacted.
National Voter Registration Day further showcased the power of youth organizing. On that single day, our Network registered more than 5,000 voters. Engage Florida Civic Fund added 1,600 new voters across 15 college campuses, creating nonpartisan, accessible, and engaging spaces for students and community members alike. Meanwhile, Forward Montana Foundation went above and beyond, hosting 34 voter registration celebrations in nine cities statewide. From college campuses and public libraries to drag shows and farmers’ markets, their organizers met young people where they are, building joyful and inclusive entry points into democracy.
